In our spiritual classroom, I talk about "unlocking the miracle code", yet many people often forget a crucial part of this formula; respecting other people’s boundaries.
This is such an important step to take as we come into better touch with our spiritual gifts. It is all too common for people to begin to have deeper awareness and insights in their third eye and begin to “read someone else’s energy.”
However, this is the equivalent of walking into someone’s house unannounced. We must stop doing this as a spiritual community, and begin knocking on the door first.
Would you ever just come up to someone and take a sip of their drink or pull up their shirt to look at their stomach?
This is what I call spiritual trespassing, which is the act of exploring an energetic area that you do not have permission to be in. Particularly reading someone's energy, scanning their body, or tapping into their energy field for insight without permission. These are all very intrusive behaviors, yet they are being done on the spiritual plane everyday.
People who are more "new to their gifts” tend to think that nothing is off limits and will read someone’s energy, scan someone’s body, or look into their soul history without permission.
This is a novice move.
And we need to build in more spiritual respect into our spiritual community.
So how do we go about getting permission?
Here are 2 ways to ask for spiritual permission:
1. Ask the person
You can simply say, "hey I was thinking about you and I got some spiritual information on you, would you like me to share?" If they say yes, great - you have permission. If they say "no thanks" or distract you from the question and do not directly give you clearance - it’s a no. And this is important because they may not be ready to receive this information.
If you do get a no, it means it is time to pull your energy back into you and give yourself “the reading” you were hoping to give someone else.
2. Ask their Highest Self
When we ask permission from our inner self or our higher guides first, we can then use that channel to ask their higher self. You will be surprised by the answer most times.
Permission Strengthens Your Aura
When you are able to recognize the value in respecting others, something huge happens. You gain a deeper respect for yourself and your gifts.
When you have the permission to proceed on a reading, insight or scan - you will then strengthen your spiritual boundaries that are rewarded in the unseen realms.
This is a step of spiritual maturity that will lead you away from the dangers of spiritual trespassing.
Spiritual Trespassing
One of the biggest mistakes on the spiritual path is trespassing into spaces where we don’t belong. This happens when we try to skip over the foundational work and dive into advanced spiritual practices without permission.
Often times, this may unintentionally cross their energetic boundaries that can lead to spiritual harm rather than spiritual healing.
My biggest frustration with the spiritual industry is the lack of clear guidance when it comes to spiritual healing and sharing. People often jump into advanced concepts without mastering the basics, and in doing so, they risk energetic injury.
Just like wouldn’t walk into someone else’s home without being invited, the same goes for sharing spiritual insights or readings with someone uninvited.
If you attempt to engage in sharing spiritual information or seeing someone’s future without the proper guidance or permission, you can potentially do more harm than good.
Spiritual trespassing often results in a deeper entanglement and leaves unresolved wounds. It’s important to honor where you are on your path at this time and seek the proper spiritual guidance to understand how to best navigate your spiritual gifts with grace in the world.
Spiritual respect is a real thing. It’s something you learn as you mature on this spiritual path.
As you evolve, new doors open that are in alignment with who we are becoming.
I invite you to first honor your awakening process and not rush ahead without proper guidance.
The art of asking permission isn’t just about respecting the boundaries of others; it’s about honoring our own spiritual evolution.
